Lights stop working when vehicle warmed up??
Lights stop working when vehicle warmed up??
So I have a strange problem with my car that I just got up and idling properly after 2 years. The problem is as follows:
When it's cold all of the headlights/turn signals/parking lights work fine but once it's warmed up none of those items work anymore. The headlights won't even pop up.
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Why would it seem to be temperature related?
Also, my speedometer/odometer and tachometer suddenly stopped working as well though I doubt that it's related. Or is it?

your relay is going bad which lights ? the head lights or the dash lights?
under the hood by the radiator there is a relay trey with a few relays there are 2 blue relays the one to the driver side . is the headlight relay , the one to the pass side is the rest of the lights . swap them around and see if it fixes your issue ,
unless ALL your lights turn off . head , and everything else as well then you may have another bad relay .

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll have to check those relays.
To answer your question, the following stop working when the car reaches operating temp (fans turn on)
Exterior:
-Head lights/turn signals/parking lights
Interior:
-Back lighting on dash and presumably all other dash lights. I know for sure that the low fuel warning light stops functioning.

tahts strange , check your fuses . and check those relays . its most likely a relay as they fail when heated ( one of mine does I smack it a bit and it starts working ) as a fuse will jsut go out and stay out .
