You mean the headlight cover? There are four screws holding it on. Loosen those and use a credit card or another flat surface to ensure that everything is level. You have to remove the front shroud to get to the two front screws. Careful though. The plastic is SUPER frail. Take your time here and don't over tighten the cover when you're done. Good luck!

front shroud: Run your headlights up, look at the front of them. there is a black plastic shroud around the glass. This has to come off to see the bolts one above here mentioned.

Pics are worth 1000 words. It could have something to do with the way the hood latches too. If you could post a photo it would be awesome.

spot on.

i just looked again and it seems the hood sits flush on one side
the other it sits lower than the fenders, the bumper and the headlights - what could be the issue here?

how do i adjust the bonnet latch?

There should be a couple of bolts on the back side of the latch for adjusting it up and down, I'm not sure exactly what it looks like as I don't own a 7 any more. Also check the rubber grommets around the hood where it closes. They're circled in the pic below. Sometimes these have a method of adjustment on them. When the hood shuts it rests against them.
