Lights connection Connect Low beams

Hi. I recently bought an Evo-R headlight kit. My question is... HOW do I connect the wires? Can I connect these lights to the stock headlight connector? I connected the high beams to the stock connector. I connected the black wire to the ground on the stock connector and connected the power to the "Red with White stripe" wire. Thats how i connected the high beam to the stock connector and it works.
I can't seem to get the low beams to work though. I tried connecting the ground wire to the ground on the stock connector and connected the power to the "Red with yellow stripe" wire on the stock connector but that doesn't seem to work...
Can anyone help me out?

Take a multi meter to the 3 pin plug that normally plugs into the headlight bulb. Test the connections just to eliminate all the stock wiring & switching from the problem. Check you get voltage where you're supposed too. One is ground, the other two are high beam & low beam (12v when active). Should'nt be an issue to connect up

From your description I take it that its a non-HID setup?
Take pics if you can....Will help people see what you're talking about.
