light blue wiring clip
i almost have my car back together finally, just waiting for my new plug wires to arrive. oh, and i overtorqued the big *** bolt that holds the alternator in position so that broke in half, but that shoudnt be a problem to find a replacement for. besides that i think everything is cool.
i am somewhat confident that everything is in correctly, and im keeping my fingers crossed that nothing is messed up deep in there where i will have to take everything apart again. i am hoping to not have to for a very long time.
i was wondering what the light blue wiring harness clip goes to, it is in the front right near the airpump, waterpump, water filler neck, alternator area. i cant find anywhere to plug it in to. on the power fc display, all the sensors and stuff seem ok, so im guessing that it is for some type of accessory... can somebody please check yours and fill me in if you have a chance. thanks, i appreciate it.

Hey rx7speed811,
Yeah, the sky blue female clip that just sits near the water neck filler right? Unless your car is a California spec car, it serves no useful purpose. It's for the electronic egr (exhaust gas recirculation) valve that is equipped on Cali spec cars. I spents days trying to figure that stupid clip out when I replaced all my vacuum hoses...even took out the vacuum hose rack out twice to try and find where that clip went. So just ignore the thing. Good luck on finding the alternator bolt. You might try Autozone...they have some metric alternator bolts... not sure if they are the right pitch. --Tommy
