lesson learned

I thought I was getting a killer deal on Ebay by buying a new in box drivers door handle (yes i know there are no great deals on ebay). When it got here I didn't install it for about 2 months. Well today I got around to putting it in when poof I finally notice that this was meant for a RHD car hahaha. Well after salvaging a few parts from the old one and splicing a few wires I now have a brand new handle for $100 The lesson is to insure that the handle you order is for the correct drivers side of your vehicle

Question: When should the light come on that is in the new door handle? I currently have my dash all apart so I don't currently see any interior lights

all you have to do is lift the handle and the light will come on. We are talking about the Left hand side so it would be our drivers side.
