LED Turn signals/brake lights

I have LED 1156 and 1157s in red & amber to replace stock bulbs, and I know BATMAN is running the same ones on his FD.

Mine are made by the same co., LEDcorp, but I negotiated some package prices and put 'em up on my site at http://www.wigglepup.com/RX-7/

Thing is, does the FD take 4 brake light bulbs or 2? The LEDs, like stock, have high/low emitters (think 'filaments') but older models still use 2 bulbs per right or left light, for a total of 4.

Do you have a picture that compares the standard bulbs to the LED's? I'm always down with something that doesn't fail, like LED's. I'm curious about the intensity/quality of the lights though...

I like the idea of never having to replace bulbs and stuff, but won't the lowered voltage and resistance of the LED's make the blinkers go really really slow?

There's no 'warm up' time with LEDs, just on-off. These are designed to directly replace the stock bulbs, and blink @ the same rate.

I'll be publishing comparison pics of them soon, but in an FB.

Brake lights

Does anyone have a side by side comparison of LEDs in the brake lights for an FD3S as compared to the stock incandescent blubs? With the brakes on and w/o would be great. Thanks!

Someone who lives close to www.clearcorners.com has got to show them a set of 99 spec tail lights so they can convert them for us. Man their LED systems are beautiful!!

I have LED bulbs in my FD. They sell them at autozone... I dont remember how much.

The ones at autozone are almost exactly like having a regular bulb. I see no color/intensity differences.

If you want something you dont have to worry about replacing get them. but if your seriosly looking for something brighter then the ones at autozone at least arnt for you.

I tried the Pep boys LED lights but is did not work. The tail lights have the bulbs upright so it was not pointing towards the lens but toward the top and did not illuminate properly. I would like to know exactly the ones you used that worked and a pic of what it looks like?

autozone

Those don't work. The LEDs flash up the way the bulb is mounted so you don't see it an FD. You would have to modify the socket.
