leaky hks wastegates. . .

hey guys, im a happy camper with a brand new hks race wastegate. . . that leaks. i was recieving 1.1 kg/cm^2 at partial throttle and im set for spring pressure (13psi). i took it off and was told to tighten the locknut that holds the poppet valve to the spring cup. so, i took it off, put lock-tite on it (red), and hit it with an impact. . . no, i didnt hit it too hard. just one tap. i let it sit all day (i was at work) and came back at the end of my shift. i tested it and found that the valve STILL doesnt fully open till around 32psi. it starts to open at about 25 psi. we all know thats no good. i sprayed the hole thing with soapy water and looked for leaks. i found two. one right at the valve guide and the other on the threads of one of the bolts that is under the diaphram (sp?). im assuming there are some serious sealing issues going on with everything. . . sarcasm. haha. i guess ill be taking it apart to fix it. any ideas before i get started?

My HKS racing WG leaks liks yours but not nearly as badly. I have a 10 PSI spring that used to open at 10-11, but now it opens around 14-15. All my leaking was occuring via the valve guide. I'm not sure what you can do about that.

well, i guess ill be finding out. i would figure that place should be sealed off for no leakage. the bolt that showed leakage is what really surprised me. im thinking about making a new valve seal out of bronze for a better seal. . . though, im not even sure what the one thats in there is made of. ill have to take it apart. . . again. damnit. . .
