Leak or No leak?
ok here goes...regular day started the car checked the oil n water as i always do..waited for the car to warm up as usual...leave the house go to this place 15mins away...temp late 20's early 30's i drove normally boosted only once...then abt 20mins later i start the car reach the end of the street, glance at the water temp and its 3/4th up towards H! kneejerk reaction i switch the car off while im on the road...manage to park on the side...pop the hood and i see water spewing outta the pipe thats connected to the radiator cap...pipe cut...anyway i change that and manage to get my hands on some water...fill the water and i notice that i fill it to the top but it keeps sinking in as if its leaking from somewhere...i look at the intercooler and i see water from UNDER it leaking profusely...i try to stick my head as far in as i can to see where the leak is but i cant cuz im stranded on the road...so i wait a min i fill the water up again start the car temps back to normal and i drive home without any probs...an hour later i check to see if theres any water leaking no leaks...i start the car i take it for a spin...boost around for a bit check the needle everythings normal i come home park it....took it out AGAIN after a couple o hours to set the boost temp was fine again everythings normal...
my question is WTF????

Sounds like you lost some water from the pipe when it was cut, the water under the intercooler was probably just water running down the cut pipe and the dropping below the intercooler.
If it's definitely not losing any more water then your ok, I wouldn't want to use normal tap water though, especially not in Pakistan
Most people won't even drink it, last time I drank tap water in Pindi it took me a few days to recover!
Anyway, make sure the pressure cap is ok, should say 0.9 on it, check the coolant level when cold which shouldn't be over the 'F' mark, then check it when hot, mine normally reads all the way up to the top mark, the check again when cool to see if it's reading at the 'F' mark again.
This will ensure that the system is properly sealed and that the vacuum pressure in the system is pulling the hot coolant from the overflow tank back into the radiator.

Yeah, I was in Islamabad a couple of months ago, often went shopping in Jinnah Super, was surprised with some of the cars, even spotted a porsche Cayenne turbo.
I installed a greddy SMIC a few weeks ago and a few minutes after starting the car there was a pool of coolant dripping below the car, I crapped myself and immediately switched off.
After a few minutes of looking round I traced it to the upper radiator hose which must have got moved slightly. Even though the circlip was securing it the coolant was forcing it's way out when the pressure built up, I just moved it about a little untill it seated a bit better and all has been fine.
Just keep checking it after a drive to make sure the coolant level is good.
You must have the only FD in PK, is there anyone with rotary knowledge that you know of, I know there's a few RX-8's around so maybe that helps.
