Interesting. There was a thread a while back about a Montego Blue car in Florida that was supposedly the last '95.

Regardless, that's a damn clean, nice, and in excellent shape car. Hopefully they aren't asking a fortune for it!

Nice Car. Only 10K+ miles.
When did they drop the rear wiper? Or was that not included in the PE package?

No rear wiper on '95 PEPs.

Popular Equipment Package, I believe. It was the 1995 version of the Touring Edition.

Jim,

In 94, they did offer a touring package in addition to the ones you listed. My car is a 94 PEG or PEP. It has leather and a sunroof. In 94, the touring package also had the bose, and rear wiper.

Is it true that none of the 95's had a rear wiper?

My mistake. The touring package carried over into '94 and was replaced by the PEG package mid-year. I believe that change eliminated the BOSE system and the rear wiper.

PEG. PEP was '95 only.

It looks like the owner carried a bag of razor blades on the rear storage bins.

Know what's crazy? My MB 1995/96 FD, with only 7400 miles (12/95 build date) was sold new in April 1997 from Morrie's Mazda, the same dealership that this red one is for sale at. Strange.....

Several dealerships were bringing in "leftover" FDs about that time, apparently. I bought mine new in April of '97 also, one of two new '95 PEPs at Chaplin's Mazda of Bellevue.

BTW, your 1995/96 is a '95. There is no ambiguity about the "S" in the VIN.

Last FD again

Last year there was a similar Fd on Ebay for sale by someone in NY. He claimed the car was the last FD and it toured with Mazda, and sold when the "tour ended". He bought it, "had all the documents", and it had 10,000 miles. As I remember, it did not sell on Ebay.
Every car has a story, having lived in Minnesota, I know it's not the best place to preserve a car.

That's too funny. That's the dealership where I bought my R1 in 1993 : ).

That's the cleanest Rx-7 I have ever seen...with the exception of the rear bins.

Appears to be the same one that was on AutoTrader a few months back, listed in a different state from a different dealer.
