CA Large Rubber Caps Where to buy?

Hey guys~~~

I was just doing a vacuum hose job for my FD and I was looking at the large rubber plug caps (0.5" I think or larger?) and initially I used the rubber caps for walking canes but I believe from under the heat and pressure it turned into like a plastic hard cap that when I took off it crumbled like a cookie!!~~~

Is there anywhere I can purchase these that withstand heat and pressure?

Cheers... da laser man is back in town... hehehehe.

What exactly are you trying to cap off? BOV/intake nipples?

Oh~~~ Yea... They are not stock parts.
Its more to cap off the openings on the HKS intake pipes. I removed the air pump and I can't find a cap that big that is for automotive use (resists heat, cold, water, pressure...ect.) to cap off the openings. So far I used the walking cane rubber caps but within 6 months to a year they start cracking.
Cheers

honestly this might sound crazy but home depot / lowes . you can use caps they have there to block off anything almost any size. alot of times i use stool rubberized caps to block off blow off valve openings on front mount intercoolers . they work great very rugged to hand wear and tear from a stool someone sits on

I used plastic feet for chairs from Lowes. They've been in the extreme heat for 2 years now and show no signs from it.

That's one method, or you can take the HK$ pipes to a welder to have them welded shut. We've used the chair cap method on a customer's car and it wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing solution.
