Lambda sensor and big emmisions problem

Today took my 1993 rx7 fd for its MOT. The car failed miserably on emmisions. Have you tried taking it to mazda mechanics so that they can check it out?
They have all the machines to test emmisions, so if they can fix it there it will pass with no problems. good luck
