The shop will know if they can make claims to Omni. The dealership I took my car to had seen it several times before, not always on an FD, and knew exactly what to do.

What do you mean by "knew exactly what to do"? Are you referring to the whole process of looking over the car and seeing what will/wont be covered under warranty. Thanks for clarifying.

I got my FD from Lance, after about 5 months I have a coolent leak, and one of my hose clamps broke or was never tighten. SingleTurboRx7 helped me out with it(thanks again). I called the warranty ppl and asked to see if my coolent reservoir would be coverd and I got told No. The car was the same price after it had 10k more miles on it than he said. But all and all I'm happy.

Basically they asked what warranty I had. I showed them the paper work and that it was in my name. They said they would take care of it, and they did. Basically they track down the problem and do not charge me anything over the labor I already stated I would pay. They call and talk with the company and get a certain dollar amount covered. They call me and told me what was wrong, then told me they already called the company and they would cover 'X' amount. (which as I said before is the manual specified time for repair and market price for parts) I authorized the work, they completed it, then got back in contact with the company, sent a copy of the invoice. Then they got paid the next day. All I had to do was give them a copy of the warranty and say, Find what is making my idle so damn shitty cause I'm tired of tracking it down

P.S. I don't think they like dealing with the general public, so if you personally call and ask if they will fix something they will more than likey say no. It is better to have a shop call. You are in Use-less, not far from garland...though not a drive I like to make. Call RP and ask if it is something they can get covered.
