Well, on friday, the day after this post started, I called Bobo, I mean Doug. Nice guy, but like we all know, there is no stock. He said I would be one of the first to get one as soon as he found them. Not sure if this is true, but it sounded nice.

What kind of deal can he swing for the fluidyne? I would be happy with that. I need one pretty quick since my car is pissed at me for yanking her implants out.

Is there any way you can arrange a deal on Fluidyne's (sp?). I would be interested in that.

HKS I think these guys appreciate your efforts. Its just a wierd deal when you say he has Koyos for 375 and when you call he actually doesnt have any Koyos. I am sure any hook up is appreciated but most of these guys are used to dealing with normal retailers who sell you a product over the phone and have it delivered within a few days. Sure the price is higher but they are used to quick turnaround. Usually deals like these take some time and are done as favors and the people selling the products dont keep them in stock because they are not retailers they are car builders or racers. I am sure there was a mis understanding here. I am sure these guys thought your sponser was some kind of retailer who had all the merchandise in stock for delivery. We all appeciate deals you can pass onto us here at the forum and hope you continue to share with us.

I agree with zoom. Thanks for the sweet hook up, and perhaps I will be one of the lucky ones to get the Koyo deal. I wouldn't mind knowing more details in regard to the availability and turnaround time for future deals, but then again, even without info this is an unbelievable deal.

This holiday business is only adding fuel to the desire. It sucks having a four day weekend only to be stuck waiting for the next business day to get anything done.

My car is ready, I got the hoses, clamps and energy to get the job done, now all I need is the radiator.

Question though, is this radiator too big for low speeds?

hksfd3s!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Doug, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Randy, thank you thank you thank you!!!
I didn't get the Koyo, but Rany and Doug hooked me up with a fluidyne. I installed it today, and man is that thing sharp! It kinda sucks that you have to cover it all up, but it's good knowing it's there.
The fluidyne is very nice, big, and fits perfect. Even if you can't get this kick *** deal, get the fluidyne.

Thanks again, it couldn't have happened at a better time.

No, you guys can thank me for letting this slide.
Thats why they dont advertise on this site because its threads like this that give them free advertising.

Now they know what kind of money they can make by advertising on here. This thread will be deleted in the next couple of days.

Sorry, its nothing against anyone participating.

I can see Jason's bitterness toward this deal. In reality it was cutting into his own business and in essence steeling from him.

This is not to say that I am not grateful for this incredible opportunity, but I do believe Jason is right, no matter how big brother he sounded, that he deserves a thanks for letting this post slide.

As far as the RX-7 store, $499 for a fluidyne is still a good deal, and I highly recommend hitting Jason up for one. His store has lots of good stuff, stuff that I've been waiting to be available as soon as he gets the site finished (hint hint).

Anyway, I thank everyone, including my discover card bank issuer for making this all possible.
Peace

How much did they charge for the Fluidyne?

Thanks!

They guys at Mackin are pissed that ARD T2 is quoting the prices he does. They have a pricing structure that thier vendors must comply to and I know they are looking for his source.

I know that they have tried to contact him driectly with instructions to shut down his claims of Volk hookups.....it's only a matter of time till he gets cut off and I know that he doesn't get a direct hookup from Mackin.
ARD T2 paid us for putting that group buy up. Any GB you see up has been paid for before hand.
Its between Mackin and ARD if he is selling the wheels to cheap.

Im not against this radiator deal, I just think that if they are making money off of me they should give a little back to the forum.

As stated in the rules when you signed up for this forum, it says NO ADVERTISING. It does not matter if its benifiting you or another person.
Companies that have a product to sell can make alot of money off this forum if they choose to. We have paying advertisers, so its only fair to them to keep the free advertising out.

I also don't think it's a group buy. He didn't mention the shop it came from. It's a favor for FD owners. Sometimes it is about making and taking money, but in this case it's just giving back to the community.

I don't think this is a group buy. He's just trying to help out fellow FD owners.

is there any difference between the koyo and the fluidyne one? both look to be similar in quality and build. side note...hey do you have pics of your car with the volk gt-n's? i was waiting for them to come out in 18 inch sizes.

Anytime that some praises a company or product isn't that just "word of mouth" advertising. Anytime that some says "hey, try this place out they are really friendly and they said they will be cool to any Rx-7 owners." That's a form of advertising also.

ARD has a shop and even though he paid for the group buy to be on.....he still has seperate posts about his Permenant hook ups.....that's not a GB but a form of advertising. Since he has a shop doesn't that mean every post he does is a form of advertising? Does that mean he should pay for each post?

Stop referring to my deal as a group buy...it isn't. There is no "collecting" orders....If they don't have it in stock they offer a substitute.

I gave a name of a shop who is willing to help....they have all kinds of radiators it is up to them how cheap they want to go on them. The Koyo thing was what I first negotiated but they have been offering Fluidyne as a substitute. So does that mean I have giving free advertising to Koyo and Fluidyne?

Isn't the whole point of the forum to help out Rx-7 owners? People offer technical support, tricks, hints, suggestions, stories, and deals.

I've read a ton of posts that tell how one shop is better or how one product is better that is advertising that you don't make money off of either. Everytime someone says where they can get a product is advertising for that company.

You should use this post to your advantage as proof to potential advertisers on how effective this site works. How many hits to this thread alone? Like 600+, and this is just a thread not a banner.
Sorry, but its advertising. You can cut it any which way, but its still advertising. There are many vendors on this forum that have banners in their sigs. I dont care about that. This would be considered a Group Buy. Hence the group of people buying the radiator. I have people paying for group buys.
Just because you are not making money off this deal, which Im sure you get some kind of kickback, does not mean your not advertising for this company. Hell, for all I know they said, "Hey, go to the rx7forum and post our price for the radiator on there" For the most part I dont care about people posting good deals. Although I carry the fluidyne radiators and can offer them at the same price. You would understand if you were paying $700 a month to keep this forum running.
Nothing against you or the company selling the radiators.
