koyo rad. coolant capacity??

Hey all, I'm planning on getting Evan's coolant with my new koyo radiator and I realized that I don't know how much will fit in the thing. I was already going to buy 3 gallons, but I thought I would ask about the capacity just in case. Anybody?

Capacity

Everyone's capacity will differ depending how badly you leaked the coolant out. My radiator pooped out so my motor leaked out all the coolant. I had to dump in the whole bottle of Prestone coolant and at least 1 full gallon of water or more! Koyo is definitely a big radiator.

If you are going with Evans, since you have to flush your cooling system throughly (even your HVAC system) then I would say you need alot of water.

hey guys, sorry to bump this old thread up to the top again, but I searched on this very question. I have just finished installing a Koyo, but I don't know how much fluid it takes. I'm looking for a good mixture of AF & water, so if anyone know how many gallons a Koyo holds, id appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Just pre-mix your percentage outside the car and then fill it using your mix until it's full. Keep the unused mix to top off your car as needed in the future.

3 gallons will definately be enough. From completely dry I needed something like 2.5 gallons to get my koyo equipped cooling system full.
