I did a search but still need help. My stock knock sensor is bad. The wires are all burnt up and the gooey stuff inside it has melted off. Do I have to spend the $200 or so for a new one? or is their a way to by-pass or just simply disconnect the knock sensor? Will the car run w/out a knock sensor?

I'm using efi pms and set up very rich.
