i understand the function... thanks... i'm just wondering how much i need to worry about it with a daily driver that will become my weekend crusier / show car eventually that's all

Its a safty provision,

I have heard of people running without it.

I am of the opinion though that it is there for a reason and should remain.

The more power you have the more you need it.
