Knightsports twin core intercooler

Has anyone used or seen knightsport dual core intercooler I had a chance to look at one and it was made well but it made me wonder if a larger version could be made do you think the head pressure from a SMIC duct could make its way through two 3"cores?

From what I could gather from KS, it's a U-type (so apparently the cores are separated from one another, ie it enters the first core, runs through an air channel, and out the second core? That's just my hypothesis from what they said). It ensures an improvement in dropping air temps, and increased cooling efficiency is achieved while decreasing the pressure drop or loss from the IC. The cores are made by Sparco USA, 76 X 298 X 160mm in size. They say something about an upper and lower tank, again leading me to believe that it's not just two cores stacked behind one another, but one core leading to another. As for ensuring adequate air enters the core, they developed a special airduct for it.

Re: testing, they tested a geunine IC (stocker?) vs. their Super U Type II IC from 2,000 - 7,000 rpm, with an external (ambient) temperature of 30 degrees C.

Air temps:
- Entrance to genuine IC: 140 degrees C
- Entrance to Super U Type II IC: 140 degrees C

- Exit from genuine IC: 91 degrees C
- Exit from Super U Type II IC: 70 degrees C.

That's obviously a considerably temp drop (21 degrees C), but I'm not sure how different it fares from say, a large SMIC like the M2/ASP or a V-mount.

Shameless plug: If you're interested in it (or any other JDM products), feel free to gimme a hollar. If it's for sale, I can get it for ya
