Knight Sports ECU, any knowledgable people on this?

So I know that the Knight Sports ECU is just a flashed stock ECU, depending on the mods sent in from the original owner.

Theses ECU's are floating around now, and I'm looking to pick one up very soon from someone on here. Owner said it was tuned for pretty much the same thing that I have in my FD. Just wondering if there is a way you can figure out what specifically was on the mods list when it was flashed?

I can't seem to find too much info on this.

Enlighten me?

Unless they printed something on the ECU, no. Your best bet would be to see if there is a Knightsport label on it with some sort of number on it which KS may be able to look up for you.

Original owner said it came off a friends 94' RHD, had Apexi Intakes, Full exhaust and a Greddy Intercooler, nothing heavily modified.

I'm pretty close to stock:

HKS Intakes
Greddy SMIC Piping
Greddy Elbow
Knight Sports AST
Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust
Magnaflow High Flow Catalytic Converter
Megan Downpipe
Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller

Soon hopefully is a Trust SMIC.

Let me know your guy's inputs, also I cannot get my car tuned here. It is near impossible around this area. So the Power FC is pretty much out of the question.

It would be a real shame if the person selling the ecu was either incorrect or lying to you about it. You could end up with a big problem in my opinion. Consider looking for a pettit ecu that way you know exactly what you're going to get.

I had a KS ECU for a couple years before I picked up a PowerFC. Ran fine with no problem. They're usually tuned for pretty close to stock: intake, DP, exhaust, SMIC with boost increase to 12-13psi, around 0.9 bar.

the only thing i had to do was to cap off the 1" hose on the top of stock plastic intake elbow to keep idle from surging. thanks for Fisa for that tip.
