The car has always had this problem so i will try explain it as well as i can.
I drive to work in a constant trafic cue that travels about 5mph for about 20 mins slightly uphill. when in first gear not fast enugh for 2nd the car wont drive smooth. every 3 seconds at 5mph the car hesitates as though it missfires making for a jurkey drive. kinda like its got kangaroo juice in.

Is this normal or should i start hunting for a salution.

Anyone help would be nice a solution would be even better.

Might be normal. At low RPM/low throttle, the engine doesn't have a lot of torque and can trailer hitch a bit. This could be exaggerated if you have broken motor mounts.

That may be a rotary-engine glitch that's fairly common. In both my 1st-gen (had that from 1979-1993) and the FD, I could never drive smoothly at low speeds - always wind up slipping the clutch slightly to damp out the jerking. Probably not very good for the clutch, but I haven't worn it out either. Of course, I don't have to drive like that very much.

Next time a police office pulls me over for speeding in the city. I will explain that my car was not designed to go that slowly.

edit: because my car jerks a bit too at low speeds
