very nice.. get that insured and drive it.. its one thing to look at a nice car in your garage.. but to drive it and have some fun with it will make it worth all the money you dumped into it.

Whats the deal with that bumper and the reflectors around the liscense plate? Is that just a foreign thing?
That's the Euro rear bumper designed to hold those long retangular license plates.

Those lights around the plate, I think, are the rear fog lights. Another requirement over there.

That car is amazing! Love everything about it. Like how he used the stock intercooler to intake elbow hose on the new intercooler. Not such a big deal, but something i noticed. Nice wheels, spoiler, front end, color...on and on and on....

Those rear bumper reflectors are on all Oz spec FDs. I used to have them until my brothers mate drove it and crashed. Bloody bastard!, he paid for the damages so its alright. Replaced it with a Jap rear bumper, and now have to cut the sides of my plates to fit it on the bumper!

WIDTH ON REAR TIRES

I thought of having heard him speak of 275/285.

@jt-imports

TAILLIGHTS

As far as I know he bought original JDM 99 taillights.

This is an European spec FD, driven left-hand side.

LAWS:

Well, to give you an example: Swiss federal laws do not permit:

- Downpipe (...modification of stock exhaust system without proof of manufacturer). Tell me, is there ANY manufacturer (Greddy etc.) of exhaust system parts that would establish such a certificate on demand? Nope. Therefore they mark "for offroad use only".

- Midpipe (...no catalyst vehicle). Will not pass severe emission tests.

- Intake (...influencing emissions by modifying intake system). Swiss laws do not even accept certificates on that!

- etc. etc. take what you want

You have a paradise over there

Even me with "mild" mods like DP and CB (I have certifcated, though!) I have to trick n'cheat to make my FD pass. I take advantage of the fact that in Switzerland there were only sold about 29 (!) examples of the FD...therefore MOT experts don't know that vehicle too well and are indeed mostly fascinated (what, rotary engine??). That distracts...

@dubulup

GAS TANK CAP

...has been cut to fit the fenders.

@rx7raca

Swap my European style rear bumper with yours...I don't like the rear fog lights. I think they spoil the rear end somewhat.

cheers
Patrick
