Dude that realy sucks. Have you heard if they are going to total it? If they do make sure you buy it back if not for yourself but for parting it looks like you already have about half the car sold. The bad thing is you can part out a perfect complete FD and if you sold everything you could prob make more than if you were to sell it whole

Some of you guys are so harsh. He did not say anything about driving in snow - in fact he really didn't give any details. All of your name calling and cannibalizing has probably scared him off and we will never get any details.

Give the guy a break - you don't know the whole story. The name calling does nothing for this thread - except scaring people away from sharing experiences like this.

I'm glad you're ok, my friend just drove his VW Golf through a fire hydrant and into a tree.

There should be no sypmpathy for anyone driving an FD in the snow. period. a winter beater can easily be bought for 1000-3000

Well I'll be nice.

Man that sucks, I've never totaled a car so I don't really know what it feels like, but it must suck. I'm glad you're ok and I hope your insurance company gives you what the car is worth. Good luck.

I completely and totally agree with this, I just thought you guys were being a little too harsh - and the parting out requests are a little pre-mature. I mean the guy just wrecked his FD - how would you feel (even if you did do something stupid). It is amazing what a bunch of vultures are lurking.

Can ya blame the guy? He's probably busy comitting ritualistic suicide over the loss of his FD...never mind the "gee, i'm sorry, that sucks...dibs on your inner child" replies. Ya bunch of jackals!

yea it totally sucked. i was driving {on the sunken meadow pkwy in longisland ny} when the back wheels lost traction on some slush and i went head on into the center divider at about 50mph. then my car spun around and hit on the rear passanger side quarter/bumper. then i did a 360 and came to a stop facing traffic. probally the scariest experience of my life. all i remember is going into the divider the first time and hitting the air bag. the best part about it was i was driving my other car all week and i woke up late for work 5am had no gas in my stealth so i decided to take the fd.
