Just wondering?

Am I just running real rich? I crank the car, and after letting it warm up there is black looking soot on the ground, just a little right behind the exhaust tip. It smells like fuel all the time, and smokes a little at start. The car is sluggish, doesn't feel like it's potential. Also I had a superbike behind me during a race, and when we stopped he looked at me and said "What kind of damn fuel are you running?" He said he could smell fuel the whole race. I don't think he should be able to smell my car like that.

What have you changed recently?

It does sound like you are running rich, but rich is safe. And who cars what he smelled, as long as he is behind you. I have soot on my bumper too. It means don't step to this.

PS: don't tune off you Narrow Band 02 sensor. It is not accurate enough. Get a WideBand 02 and see how rich you really are.

I have changed a lot of stuff, and I wasn't racing the superbike, he would have smoked me! He was just behind watching. So it is safe but doesn't it seem too rich? I mean I feel like I am pushing about 235 hp with all of the mods listed. I lost to a RSX Type S with a 50 shot and some little mods. So like he would be 240, 250 hp. We were fairly even but also his was a 6-speed and I have an auto, but I do weigh less.

It's tough to tell without a WideBand. And due to you changing soo much it would be in your best intrest to get it tuned or buy a wide band to tune yourself.

PS I smoke bikes. Well most of them. Raced an R1 yesterday in traffic. We were dead even through third, my dumb *** bounced off the rev limiter, put her in fourth and he was at my front bumper. I had to lift off the gas and let him cut me off (taffic was in his lane). Then I was done, but he was not. The crazy **** kept pushing ducking and weaving through traffic. He waited for me at the off ramp and gave a big thumbs up. The 7 is damn fast yo.

What are your mods? Modern sportbikes are still a lot faster than a stock 3rd gen.

Raced my buddy on his yzf 600 and at about 110 I start pulling away.

Raced another group of bikes. Passed and ditched the first two, the third guy and I ran all the way up to about 160-170. I was on his tail the whole time but in the other lane. I even had to lift a few times. I thought about passing him, but at that speed it would have taken a long time and plus the bike was twitching and looked to be on the edge, but we both were. Towards the end of the freeway I let his friends pass me (pulled to the shoulder with my hazards on). At the light I saw all three of them look back and shake their heads. I gather that they were like damn, what was that and that was fast as hell. The two bikes in back were a Katana(sp) 750, a yamaha 600 or and the one I was tailing was another R1.

Sorry, didn't mean to turn this thread into a kill thread.

Well I am not at bike racing status yet, but I would like to gain some power. So it is fine for me to run this rich? Even fouling the hell out of plugs and being able to smell fuel all the time?

In my garage there's a black patch on the floor obviously from the exhaust. Seems like my cars running rich to but its better than being lean right.

That's fine. Maybe they weren't the best of riders and backed off, I'm not sure. But the other dude and I did run together (for multiple miles) and I know he was trying.

Either way, I have been meaning to take a friend, a video camera and look for some kills. I should get some video kills posted before I blow this motor. The kill section wants vids.

Don't care, not impressed, I don't read the kills forum.
