Its up to you man, if you want fast, reliable, different sounding etc, go with LS1. If you wanna stay true with the rotary, get a rebuild if you need one.

I would assume that you don't have an Rx7 yet. If that's the case, find an Rx7 with either a fresh engine or buy another car. I'm still not sure how many LS1 conversions can be control-z 'd, but don't buy an FD, hack it up and sit it next to an LS1 saying "I'm going to swap it once I can afford it".

btw I'm not a rotary is holier than though kind of guy, since I wanted to throw the old GNX engine into an FC, but I've seen waayyyy too many FC/FDs laying around waiting on this and that until it's a heap, or the owner just half-assing it to get it done so they can sell it and cut the losses.
