It's the turbo control valve that controls the main exhaust flow to the secondary turbo. Don't know if you found an exhaust yet but mine did sell last weekend. Sorry to see you're having to pull the turbos

It's really not bad at all to do the turbos in the car, just takes a little time. Try doing it in a 300zx .

Sucks that you snapped a stud off there!

Yes, that's the turbo control door. It blocks off exhaust flow to the secondary turbo at low RPM, then opens at transition.

It was a PITA at times ... Started at 11am got done at 7pm with taking old turbo off and replace with different .. But we took a lunch break etc
