I can't really think of any reason this would cause a shudder...The exhaust was already pretty tightly hooked up to the Turbo, thus the manifold, thus the wastegate. I also don't really see how you could have done it wrong. You just make a pipe go from the wastegate outlet flange into the down pipe. Is the newly routed piping rubbing anything? I actually just did this too, and don't have any new shudder.

What do you mean by shudder? The wastegate should be that loud either lol. It's just a cast housing with a diaphram in side that opens by a spring or pressure opening a plate to re-route exhaust from the exhaust manifold. Check other connections that you may have touched? What kind of wastegate do you have? What size?

open wastegates are very loud when they open because they dump unmuffeld exhaust out

I meant rerouted wastegates. I stand corrected for not seeing the part that states his wastegate is opened.

maybe i 'm just not use to the quietness. when i get into boost the car almost goes silent. i have to look at the rpms now intead of hear them. and my tires dont squeal when they spin so it's actually a little hard to tell the rpm from just feel now. i can also feel where the power drops off now feels right about 7300 rpm, before it seemed like it would just keep pulling and pulling but that was just prob. the noise. can someone please tell me how i can post a pic?
