just kill me

six days till prom and car is still acting stupid. still has weird idle and burns oil. YES THIS IS A NEW REBUILT MOTOR. sometimes the coolant buzzer comes on sometimes it doesnt. i hotwired the fan so its on as soon as the engine is on and she still gets too hot. no coolant is leaking. but she is just runnin like ***. fans on and coolant leak fixed and system burped and she still gettin too hot within 5-6 mins of bein on. full on oil and i jsut dont know what to do next. is the gauge wrong maybe? and i just need help 6 days to find the real problem and fix it and put 400 miles on the thing b4 prom i really need help. thanks for hasty replies

*who installed your motor and why aren't you contacting them

Did you take the coolant hose off the TB when you filled the rad with coolant/water? Still sounds like there is air in the system. What is your ratio of water/coolant?

he is on this board

MR rx7 TT on the boards rebuilt it. i PMed him but no response. i dont have a number (this car is a freinds) and aaron (the owner) wont be back till later tonight. he gave it to me with supposedly jsut the coolant leak i fixed. and yeah it sounds like air is getting in the system somehow but i dont know where. maybe the gauge is bad but all i know i need help. arg.

I'm sure "MR rx7 TT" will get back with you. Did he do the rebuild and install, or just the rebuild?

Ah, I would just contact him and see what he says. I'm sure he'll be more than helpful in getting things resolved. Don't do anything else to the car until you contact him though.
