Just installed RB Dual Tip, Have ?

Hi guys...

I just installed my RB Dual Tip over the weekend and I love it. The sound, the smoother acceleration, and the power are great!

One question though... I noticed that the exhaust tips are larger in circumfrence than the stock tips and now over bumps, the tips are rattling against the tow hook/ring on that side of the car. How has anyone fixed this?

Also, would anyone be interested in the stock exhaust? It only has 26k miles on it and no rust. I don't know if I should put in the Classified section or not.

I have the older style RB, and didn't have any issues with the tow hook. Easy enough to remove it.

So, what would be the easiest way to remove it? How hard of metal is it? Dremmel or bending it or hack saw or what?

Yes, I have all the brakets in place and bolted up properly. There is about a half inch of space between the tail pipe and tow ring.

Are the stock hangers in place? The exhaust shouldn't move enough to hit the tiedown hook. You can manually move the exhaust by hand to see how much it moves, and double-check what the exhaust is tapping against.

I have also found that with some cheaper downpipes/midpipes, they don't fit properly and make the whole exhaust system line up goofy.

I have a downpipe, but it's not installed yet. Getting it coated first. So, everything is stock except for this catback and a drop in K&N.
Everything went in the stock location with the two hangers and the bracket on the passanger side of the exhaust.
Now it's happening just reving up, not idle, yet. How much vibration should be moving the tips?
I think I'll just remove them this weekend and call it good.
