Just installed new rear end and gears

Got sweet deal on a Cusco Type-RS LSD and the 4.44 gears they run in the Rx8 grand am cars, after I blew the stock one to pieces. All in all very impressed with the new parts couldn't be happier with it. Still running stock axles though and drive shaft. Those are next to go more than likely.

does the car seem to accelerate better? i've thought about changing the gears but was worried first and second would be too short. 4th and 5th could stand to be a bit shorter gearing though. I also wondered how it would effect fuel economy

It does accelerate better a lot better than stock, it was a huge difference. I noticed a slight change in 1st and 2nd but buddy it hits hard off the line. I haven't noticed much fuel wise. Like I said I thoroughly enjoy it. My buddy who is the lead mechanic for ROAR racing helped me do it. He took it out on low boost (10psi) said the car came within gnats *** of lifting the front tires. I LOVE IT lol.

Oh by the way we thought the speedo might be off a couple of miles, but to our surprise it was off maybe 1mph.

I had a buddy of mine that had bought the parts for his project car, but parted it out due to the fact he was getting married. I got the gears and LSD for $1500 they hadn't even been installed and were still new in the box.
