If the engine is pretty cold it's supposed to go up to 3k or 4k to heat it up quicker. and I beleive that all 93 FDs are R1s. Sounds like you have a touring edition, if you have a sunroof as well

I bet you have an R1. Especially with the dual oil coolers suede seats, and spoiler. Also does your Rex have a lip? Anyway good luck with your car.

To stop the accelerated warm up, just start the car in gear then let it out. If that doesn't work just blip the gas pedal and the rpms should drop to about 1k or so.

Uran, leather seats and sunroof shout touring. you should also have a rear windshield wiper, cruise control bose audio system. wing and lip optional i believe.

R1's have suede like seats no rear wiper, sunroof, cruise control, but do have dual oil coolers, wing, lip and front strut bar.

Depends what you like. I personally dont get a car unless it has a sunroof or removable top.

I hope you have lots of money. i bought my 93 r1 less thaqn a year ago. since then, i have had to drop a new engine in, turbo mods and a programmable controller just to keep it running. I'm secong guessing myself as to whether or not I should have bought a vette instead.

I have a 94 PEP and its got the best of both worlds for me. Sunroof cruise and leather but no bose, rear wiper or fog lights. I did take the cruise out though to make some room and added a oil cooler kit so R1 didnt matter to me.

Your ill informed too.

94 came in base, R2, PEP/PEG and Touring.
In 95 the Touring model was dropped.

The Touring and PEP/PEG are two different models. Touring had a glass sunroof, bose and fog lights. In 95 the PEG/PEP came with fog lights, no bose or glass roof.

hehe I'll remeber not to post any RX-7 facts here lol. I owned a corvette before and I had nothing but problems with it. It might have been a lemon, but it was always in the shop. Fun car though! I love my RX-7, I enjoy the leather seats and sunroof. My car had a rear wing installed, which I prefer and chrome factory wheels. I put a lot of money into it the first year because the guy who owned it before didn't know how to maintain it very well. Since then, I haven't had to do much except my pre-cat and cat which were toast.....litterally. 4 years now Just make sure to read up on how to properly maintain it. I found a place in here years ago that listed all known problems (like glove box light, 3k hesitation, ect) and it was right on. Oh and let the turbos cool down before shutting the car off! Let it idle for 1 to 3 minutes depending on how hard you drive, or just get a turbo timer.

I'm not dising the car. I love it, but it needs more attention than a new born. I'd like a little time to myself

I agree, I mean I dropped $10k into it the first year (warranty paid for most of it). I had pineapple racing do the engine with 3mm apex seals and I put in a new radiator. Basically all the safety things and since then I have only put 20k miles on it and I really haven't had any problems. That first year though lol I was a little worried. If you financed t through a credit union, you might check on a warranty for it! I got mine for around $1000 and it paid for itself in the first month!

Unless its under warrenty, Don't.

And if you don't mind me asking allrotary, how old are you? From your grammer, it sounds like english isn't your first language (which is ok, it wasn't mine either) or your to young to be driving a car. =P.

No hard feelings, I just don't like seeing spoiled kids driving around the limited number of fd's around.

I mean, if you worked for it, paid it all cash with your money, hey power to ya, but I just can't stand parents buying cars for teens just because.
