just got the greddy elbow but haveing trouble with hose that come off the stock elbow
i just bought the greddy 3pc intercooler piping with the elbow but i have no idea what to do with the hose that was connected to the stock intake manifold elbow ive seen pics of the elbow on other rx7s but i never see what they do with that hose does anyone know how to bypass our do u just cap it off which i don't that think that would be good cause i guess they put it there for a reason and it does something i just don't know what. can any please help thanks you.
That hose is just there for the AWS (accelerated warmup system) which gives you the 3000 RPM startup. The Greddy elbow doesn't have it as Japanese cars didn't have AWS.
Remove the hose and get a cap to cap the other end of the hose. If you can't find the right size cap, go to the hardware store and look for chair leg caps. They are available in many sizes and work great.
Long term, you can unbolt that tube and get a blockoff plate to totally ditch the AWS.

You may want to look at the archives for "block off plates" etc to find other things you can start to eliminate. If I recall correctly, there are quite a few as you travel down the modifications path.
