just got FD together, now running very rich.

Just finished getting my FD put back together after some serious winter work and now its running in the 10-11's at idle, about the the same when free revved, but it breaks up a lot, I'm assuming from running so rich. What systems can cause something like this? Idle is pulling 18 inches right around 1,000 rpm. No CEL.

I had the engine torn down to bare block, and did a silicone hose job other maintenance stuff.
Injectors were just cleaned, new plugs, new wires, etc.

Mods: k&n drop in filter, 3" downpipe & midpipe and an ARC SMIC, eliminated fpd, boost gauge and innovate lc2 wideband.

I'm no stranger to rx7s but this is my first FD and I could use some tips until I have all the **** under the hood figured out.

Were the injectors flow tested after the cleaning?

How long after the cleaning before they were installed and run?

Yeah they were flow tested before and after they're dead on.
They were installed within 3 weeks of cleaning.

The only code it has is for AWS.

The only other thing it is doing is when I first turn it over it almost sounds like its trying to reverse fire.. I don't know how else to explain it. Im wondering if there is a short in my ignition harness..

What is the condition of the fuel injector O-rings? They need more than 0.2 mm interference fit against their bores. My new ones were about 0.7 mm interference on the top O-rings, not sure about the bottom, but took a good push to seat them.

map sensor vacuum hose plugged in? are the coolant temp and fuel temp plugs swapped? this one is a classic, i know of 3 FD's that got engines under warranty, and then another like $20k worth of parts because these plugs were swapped.

Tps is good.

Any other suggestions?

Have you checked the line between manifold & fuel-pressure regulator?

Had a vacuum like to the double throttle plates disconnected. Not sure if that could have caused them to stay closed or not, but it was at least causing a vacuum leak. Regardless I have the engine torn back down and I'll be testing individual components to ensure everything is right before it goes back together.

Its brand new and I calibrated it right before use and there is so much unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust you can tell its running extremely rich. Plus the 12 mpg (mosty hwy)I'm getting also backs it up
