Just got the 7 back from Pineapple/GT Garage!!!
Sup folks, I just wanted to give you guys an update on my Seven. About 7 weeks ago I dropped my FD off at GT Garage in Portland, OR to fix a bad coolant o-ring (i.e. REBUILD!!!), major oil leaks all around, and secondary turbo not kicking in. (Just in case you don’t know, GT Garage shares the same facilities as Pineapple racing. Rob at Pineapple only does the engine rebuild/building and Chris at GT does all the labor work.)
I went to pick up the car today (I live in Seattle) and when I arrived he had my ride sitting in the main entrance all detailed up!!! Looked mad nice!!!
Anyway, Rob did a basic 5 year warranty rebuild with Heavy Duty coolant seals. I was going to get the Efini 99 twins put in but Chris told me that my stock twins were fine, so I stayed with the stockers and saved myself $2700 bucks. I got all the vacuum lines replaced with silicon and new coolant hoses all around.
The service GT Garage is pretty good. He drove my car around for about 80 miles before advising me to pick it up, just to make sure there was no leaks before I took my 3 hour drive back home. The car was sparkling clean, and the shop is very professional, in terms of neatness.
Total spent on my rebuild was $5500.00. Labor and all. No more coolant overflows and no more oil leaks. Chris took me out on a test drive and half throttled it once to make sure the secondary turbo was kicking in. It pulled hard… sad but I never knew what the car felt like with the secondary kicking in but now I do.
I would recommend anyone in the NW to bring your ride to Chris at GT Garage for any service on any rotary. He’s currently doing a rebuild on a genuine Efini Cosmo and many other models such as RX2’s, Turbo 2’s, and various NA’s)
I’ll keep this thread updated with any problems I encounter after the break in period, but for now I’m damn happy to have my Seven back!!!

Nice and clean Gambit, awesome, enjoy!
Rx 4 Speed : I had my reman installed at ASpecTuning (with silicon vacuum lines, koyo radiator, starter work, a few other things, etc etc) early this year. Very good work, good comunication via email. Drove it the rest of the year, and as of now no oil leaks, boosts smooth and strong, everything feels good. So I'd recommend them on quality. Check the midwest/mountain forum for feedback on them too.

Did the reman come from them too? I think I remember seeing that they did remans too, right? Bricke, I remember you from before... Dubuque right? I remember you talking highly of them. I will be sure to go to them.
Gambit, nice car again by the way... I'm glad you had good luck with GT/Pineapple Garage
Keep those wrenches turning in the meantime!

Since I know when you put the motor now lets monitor how long the engine will last.... that will be a great test and plus...lets put some sand in the intake manifold and see what it does to the housings......
