i was too cheap to buy the clear housing so i sanded mine what do you guys think?

could you post a pic with them on the car at night?

 

My car is currently on jack stands and not running but i have a picture off the cut off. The lights weren't adjusted and headlight buckets were not bolted all the way down so it's a little crooked.

 

Interesting idea. I didn't think you could get the stockers so clear. I thought the only way to get good mazda housings was the glass espec ones.

nice, so how did you sand down the lens?

 

I Used an angle grinder with a sanding pad to take off the major part of the lens then started with 120 grit to 2000 wet. I didn't have a small polishing wheel so i had to do it by hand once i get a hold of one i can make it crystal clear.

The best part is i made them so i didn't have to cut anything i simply stick them in and attach grounds and postive wire. Install is a breeze.

 

Don't mind the ugly ride.

You're doing a few things wrong here:

(1) You're not a site vendor.

(2) The tech section isn't the proper place for a 'FS' thread.

nice job...do you have anymore pics of them installed/ back of the housing more information projectors used? hid used? interested in retrofitting mine. I have some 300c projectors

thanks for the compliments! The projector i used are bixenon with the fx clear lens. I used the hidextra ds2 kit for testing and they are holding up so far.

 

what shrouds are those from any pics of them painted black?

 

They are the apollo shrouds but i had to cut them up for them to fit and the end result is what you see in the picture. i will get some pictures in black.

 

Like every one wants to know what specific Hids did you use?

 

the bulbs and ballast are from hidextra and i used a bixenon projector with a fx clear lens.

 

ds2 kit from hid extra they are a vendor on the forum.
