just finished up my hid

i was too cheap to buy the clear housing so i sanded mine what do you guys think?

My car is currently on jack stands and not running but i have a picture off the cut off. The lights weren't adjusted and headlight buckets were not bolted all the way down so it's a little crooked.

Interesting idea. I didn't think you could get the stockers so clear. I thought the only way to get good mazda housings was the glass espec ones.

I Used an angle grinder with a sanding pad to take off the major part of the lens then started with 120 grit to 2000 wet. I didn't have a small polishing wheel so i had to do it by hand once i get a hold of one i can make it crystal clear.

The best part is i made them so i didn't have to cut anything i simply stick them in and attach grounds and postive wire. Install is a breeze.

thanks for the compliments! The projector i used are bixenon with the fx clear lens. I used the hidextra ds2 kit for testing and they are holding up so far.

They are the apollo shrouds but i had to cut them up for them to fit and the end result is what you see in the picture. i will get some pictures in black.

ds2 kit from hid extra they are a vendor on the forum.
