Just bought my 93 RX-7...but now what??

First off hey everyone!

Well I just got home from opicking up my brand new/used black 93 RX-7. I have been wanting one for years now and thanks to exhuasting work, saving yadda yadda Ive managed to save the cash to buy one.

Now being trained in the import scene via Honda, I have a little bug for modifying. In fact I bought parts for this car even before I looked at the car I have now.

Thus far I havesome Tein HA's coming in from Japan, as well as some Cusco strut braces (Type-OS front and rear) and some other crap for decorating the interior up (Razo shift ****, Sparco pedals, Bride Ergo seats etc.) as well as Im calling for some JDM tailights and emblems when Im done here.

Now from here on Im stuck, and need some advise.

First off this car wont be my daily driver persey, but will be driven. More weekend cruise car than anything, so drivability and reliability is important of course. Im a person fan of Apexi, I get good deals from a few dealers and would like to stick with using as much of their products as possible. Now Im by no means a RX7 expert, Im pure newbie.

This is the list of parts I have come up with so far. My goal is to make 400rwhp. Now I have heard the RX6 is good till 450hp, now not sure if this is flywheel or wheel, but Id like to try and max the turbo out (I feel like Im getting my moneys worth that way :p )

So here is what I have come up with, scrutinize at will PLEASE...

Apexi RX6 Single Turbo Kit
Apexi Power FC Computer
Apexi Front Mount Intercooler
Apexi GT Spec Exhaust System
Apexi Blow-off Valve
Apexi Turbo Timer (new style)
Pettit Racing 3" SS Downpipe
Racing Beat Steel LW Flywheel (not a fan of Aluminum)
ACT ZX3-HD00 Clutch
Ultra Street Ignition Wires

Fuel Injectors...not a clue what size or brand..suggestions???
Spark Plugs...Same as above

Now what am I missing??

Fuel Regulator?
Cooling...radiator?? radiator cap?? thermostat??
What type of oil should I use?
I would like a L.S.D, which brand would you advise?? Cusco..Kazz...other
What can I do with the rear suspension busings..I would like stiffer ones
Front and Rear Sway bars...what are good sizes/brands???

As well the car has 123,000kms on it, so thats roughly 80,000 miles or so and Im planning to have the car repainted, so since the engine will be out Im going to get it rebuilt with 3mm apex seals, get some minor machining done etc. For those two things, any recomondations as to what I should get???? Im also going to go through the joys of replacing the vaccum hoses just to make sure.

But mainly, am I on the reight track to meet the goals I listed earlier??

Thanks a bunch guys, Ill be keeping everyone posted.

Well, if its still stock... you need to address your Downpipe for now, get yourself a good boost guage, and then find yourself a All Aluminum radiator... THEN you can go onto the hard core stuff. These should help with the reliability. Good LUCK!... seems you have a big wallet

spend your firs2-3k on making sure the car is runing properly first. while your at it add a boost gauge and egt gauge, replace vaccum lines, add a downpipe (if you have a lot of money and plan on going single like now, then don't buy a dp cause the kit will come with one.) and the reason for adding a single turbo is so that you won't max out your twins and cause damage, buy a bigger turbo kit if you want 450+ rwhp, this way your playing it safe with you motor and turbo. if you go with the apex rx6 1300 cc secondaries is what i was told would be enough fuel, if more is needed add 850 cc primaries. if you look around at www.rx7store.net, or www.rxescret7.com, or srx7.com or rx7.com you'll find what you need to complete your upgrades. alot of people are using the rx6 and they will be able to help you out (look on thier website). maxcooper on the forum i believe is using this turbo.

i personaly wanted to use this turbo because of the fact it spools up like the factory turbos and i can get the hp range i wanted, but i recently changed my mind because i want to be faster than vosko (j/k, not really, i kind of due want to be faster than you) .
i think at one point or another i might want to go faster so i'll save up for a bigger turbo (like the kkk or something similar). thats it for now my attention span is twindeling and i hate writing for a long period of time. i hope i was of some help.
