Just bought Efini Y-Pipe
Why does the y-pipe look modified? I bought it from rx7store. What did it look like before it was hacked up? I'm guessing it was trimmed for fitment...
Is there anything I should look out for (becareful with when taking apart and reinstalling?)
Thanks!

LOL the bits that the green arrows are pointing to,,,are the cast marks . the pipe is cast in 2 pieces and then moulded together,,,,..they can be ground down and blended into the pipe to make them dissapear.

Actually the pipe is cast as a single piece but the mold is in at least three parts. The areas you have marked are typical of all cast parts that have not been completely cleaned up afterwards. They won't harm anything. Grind them off if they bother you.

For the EGR, you just need a blockoff plate and to cap off the vacuum nipple that went to the EGR valve. I'd install the blockoff plate with a new gasket and do it right, BTW.

Sometimes the excess material marks are called "witness" lines from the mold. Molds (commonly called "the tool") leaves these witness lines where the pieces of the mold come apart.
Look at any cast or injection molded plastic and you'll see these type of marks. They are really big on lower quality parts and smaller on higher quality parts. Example, look at the throttle body casting quality vs. the intake manifold.

EDIT: This may only occur on CA ECU's.
