Jumper wires for TPS

Just a thought, has anyone put together a set of jumper wires for the TPS that are in cabin (at least those of us who dont have a PFC) so it would be possible to check TPS voltages a little bit easier?

The bright idea came to me as I was trying to get a signal through the weather seal around the wires on the TPS, and having no luck. Is what I'm talking about is just splicing in some wires from the ECU side, and attaching a crimp fitting or something similar so all that would be needed is to ground one end of the multi-meter and sticking the other end into the spliced in connector. I think this would work because using insulated crimp fittings would prevent the likelihood of it shorting out while still giving easy access to read voltages w/o having to shove something in the TPS connection itself.

Does anyone have any ideas to improve or comments as to why I'm an idiot for putting this out there?

1. lots of people use the Power FC with Commander, which can read the voltages under etc. --> sensor/sw check . VTA1 is full range, VTA2 is narrow range

2. If you don't have a PFC you can read the voltages at pin 3F and 3G on the ECU

3. A couple people are running a DIY diagnostic tool to read from the factory diagnostic protocol

I've set TPS's in the past by stripping a small amount of insulation from the TPS connector, putting a meter on and checking the reading, then adjusting. There's really no need to make some fancy tester or anything, FD TPS's are far more hardy than FC ones and really don't need adjustment once they're set properly.
