Jspec engine question

Hello,
Instead of rebuilding your blown engine, has any of you just replaced it with a Jpec engine? If so, where did you acquire Jspec engine and how much did it cost? A friend of mine is thinking about doing this and says that it would be a lot cheaper???

dont listen to your friend. maybe cheaper because the motor is USED....have a reputable place build you one.

i think he just wants the *cool* factor of saying "i have a JSPEC engine..."

Aren't they exactly the same anyways???
Shipping it from Japan would definitely not be cheap.
The best option is to rebuild his current motor or getting a US reman.

tell your friend to give pineapple racing a call for the price and if he can get it for cheaper, then it's up to him to take the risk....with pineapple you can be pretty sure you're getting a good engine tho...
