JIC full titanium exhaust??
Hey guys I was just over at this local speed shop ordering some stuff when this guy came up to me and asked if I was interested in a full titanium exhaust called JIC or something.
I said I've never heard of it, he says he'll sell it to me for $600, which is used I'm assuming. I went online and looked it up and a new one costs about a grand.
Does anyone have this exhaust and would it be worth the $600?
Thanks.
Dan.

Sounds fishy to me
The full titanium has titanium piping and retails for $1,100 and I doubt you can get it less than $900 new. It also has the flamed tip.
The do sell another model which is a titanium can but has stainless steel piping and that retails for about $850, so it's possible they were selling you that one.

The JIC stuff is nice.
The titanium exhaust is quite a piece of work. It's very light, you have to have it in your hands before you can truly appreciate it.
I believe that they only have the large pipe type of exhaust for the FD (no dual).
Go check it out. I think you'll like it.

Well I just found out that my JIC bullet is actually the JIC Bullet type 1. It's NOT the titanium, but it IS the best sounding...WAY better than the apexi units... ...not that the apexi units sound good or anything...

Does the exhaust have any nice gains in any of the ranges?
I don't want one that's loud that might lead to any pull overs or tickets.
SOmething that's deep and mean sounding is good.
THanks.
Dan.

I saw the JIC dealer selling one at SS5 for ~$850. He says it's all Ti and it's light. The price sounded too low for me so it could be partially Ti. It looks nice and very nice but I don't know how it sounds. If they made a dual and it's all Ti and sounds good, I would buy it for sure.

I haven't heard it unfortunately but i've seen it in person at Zeil Motorsports. It's beautiful and as light as a cell phone, well ok maybe a cordless phone. The pipng is a seperate peice as well as the hanger.
GMonson: Border Racing makes 3.14" and 4" stainless steel exhast as well as 4" titanium and you can get it from iether jt-imports or Corksport.
Another beauatiful work of art exhast is the Buddy Club Spec III for takakaira.
Again, I haven't heard them, just seen them. At the moment I don't know the DB's but Canman or Jspecracer might.

No prob on the pics guys, if I can find em Ill gladly post them.
The McCullough HIDS I have are just the H4 Style bulb in the stock housings. I like 'em a lot, but then again almost ANYTHING is better than stock. The beam pattern isnt the greatest, but the illumination improved easily by 5x.. The install was tricky, cause theres not a lot of room under there, then you have to make sure they have clearance for the flip-up headlights..
pricing for the Border pieces
Full Exhaust - $1495
Cat back - $895

I have an Mpeg of my car at idle and WOT with a straight thru midpipe....sounds pretty good IMO...but it doesn't give it any justice. I can make another one with a Borla XR-1 in place of the straight thru(since that's what I'm using now). Fairly quiet at idle but under WOT, it gets LOUD.
Seriously, the JIC used to be Dragon's old muffler. He's gone thru about the same amount of Exhaust systems I have(Apexi, HKS, Blitz, Greddy just to name a few)...and he agrees as well that it is the best sounding exhaust for any rotary.
It's best described as V8 throaty...yet still keeps it's rotary style...very hard to describe, but EVERYONE I've talked to said the JIC sounds best.
