JDM swap, is it worth it???

i know this guy in vegas, he just spent $3g's to have a JDM '98 rx-7 engine and tranny shipped over, wondering if this is worthwhile??? thinking of picking up a '93 rex that needs a new engine, and figured i could just build one up, but is the '98 that much better??? if anyone has any insight, that would be greatly appreciated...

i read that you will have a hell of a time with the engine harness. The engine and engine harness is made for a right hand drive car, but it can be done.

Just rebuild the shot engine here in the states. Places like Pineapple (and other good rebuilders) offer damn good warranties with their rebuilds.

you really should spend the extra money and get a street port. i had my reman put in last year and figured 300hp would be right where i need to be. now it seems i am obsessed with performance and am looking at larger injectors and regret not getting the port and water passage done. i do understand engines are expensive, and nobody wants an permanent rx7 garage ornament.
