JDM Series 7 engine harness for single turbo?

Hi guys, I found what I was told is a series 7 engine harness in a box that come with some parts I bought. I asked the shop doing my work if it would work and they told me that they didn't have much experience with the jdm harnesses but that they surely could get it to work but it would be an hourly job. I found some information on my own and it doesn't seem too bad as I will be doing it for a single turbo. Here is the information I found.

"You will need to swap that big blue plug near the ECU with a USDM plug.
You will also need to extend the water temp sender for the stock gauge.
Also, there is no AWS and no EGR solenoid connector but those are easy to address with block-off plates.
Finally, there is only one connector for the ACV.. not sure how to address this as there are 3 in the USDM harness."

Can anyone add to this or confirm anything here? Thanks guys!

I understand your response but it feels like a honda harness. So flexible it almost feels like it's made of rubber! If there's minimal work to be done I can do it myself maybe and not have to spend time and money possibly buying something used from someone that isn't really up to par. I'm far from cheap but I don't see the need to buy a $800 oem new harness.

If it's the later (96+) harness, the ECU connectors are WAY different. You'd need the appropriate ECU (a later PowerFC if that's what you're running) and you'd also need the part of the dash harness from a later car that goes to the ECU. Information on pinouts and wiring for the later harnesses is sketchy/hard to find in English.

If you're going to hack it up and remove all the emissions stuff anyhow, you might be able to splice in the earlier ECU connectors.

May want to get pics up then we can verify what year the harness is.
