Don't do it homie. The JDM speedo only goes to 180km that's a lil under 120mph. From what I was told when I asked a very similar question only going from JDM to US, was that it is a plug and play swap, as in you don't have to do anything after you install it. Like I said, that is what I was told when I asked about going from JDM to US, so I'm guessing it's the same going the other way.

Wow you don't do alot of research huh? There is alot of info on this. I believe there is a tutorial as well on rx7boutique.

You might have luck searching in the interior section.

Supposedly the speed markings on the face of both speedos (US and JDM one) are in the same place. If you swap the faces of the US and JM speedo unit around then install the US unit with the JDM face, it will read normal then you have a JDM looking speedo. Also your mileage will read in miles vs kilometers.

Good luck swapping the face, from what I have heard you get lucky if the needle comes off of the speedo without doing damage to the speedometer drive.

I'd have that done for you. If you buy from purerx7, I believe he will do it for a small fee or he will do the install for free if you're local. I forget.
