Talking Is Japanese Water OK to drink?

From page E-17 of my Mazda RX-7 Workshop Manual:

INSPECTION
Water Thermosensor
1.Place the switch and a thermometer in water.
2. Heat the water gradually and check resistance of the switch.

.....Coolant...........................Resistance
101°C (214°F)................0.5 ohm max.
108°C (236°F)................ 1 Mohm min.

3. If not as specified, replace the water thermosensor.

The factory service manual was written deep in the catacombs of Mazda Japan far beneath the earth's crust. The air pressure is much higher down there and therefore water boils at a higher temperature. Japan has many such deep underground lairs due to the overcrowding of the surface.
