JSPEC and JDM are not interchangeable. All Japanese cars are built to Japanese specifications ...because they are Japanese cars. A USDM Japanese car is still JSPEC.

Not true, the JDM engines have no egr, acc warm up, idle air control on the manifolds. These manifolds flow better then the us spec. Also the exhaust manifold does not have the egr ports so these flow better as well. Also the 99 spec engines have a different lubercating system(as noted in the last post) Take care

A JDM engine should not be refered to as a '99+ JSPEC engine because JSPEC is NOT JDM. Japanese Spec' is not the same thing as Japanese Domestic Market. A US Domestic market japenese engine is JSPEC but not JDM. Therefore a '99+ engine would be refered to as a JDM engine and not JSPEC. Why, only because there are no USDM for '99+. JSPEC means nothing because all Japanese engines are built to Japanese specs, which means a USDM Japanese engine is JSPEC but not JDM.

How does the accelerated warm-up work? My engine idles high (a little over 1k) for about thirty seconds on cold start - though I did read that JDM doesn't have the US-spec warm-up

We can do that but the 99spec Rz engines are extremely hard to come by. if you would like a non Rz engine we could do that pricing actually a little lower.
