Japanese-market RX7: Do they come w/ downpipes?

I purchased my RX7 from a Japanese auto exporter and had it shipped to Mauritius since the price was awesome and I live in a right-hand-drive country. Does anyone know if these come w/ a downpipe or a pre-cat? I want to bulletproof my car as much as possible since it gets hot here, but I don't want to waste any money on a downpipe if it doesn't have a pre-cat to begin with.

Thanks!

robertio is right. RHD rx7 has no precat...
it may look like a downpipe but the diameter size is smaller. Also its very heavy.

Bulletproof car heh? change it to an aftermarket dp...
it will help the engine to flow better and lower down the underhood temps.

The pix above is the stock dp on most RHD rx7... hope that helps

So what you're saying is that its still worth it to replace my OEM DP with an aftermarket?

Yes, my main hope is to reduce the under-hood temps.. sometimes, not always, but sometimes after I park, the hood is very hot to the touch.

Oh one more thing, and this is probably pretty obvious.. The country I am in requires a front license plate.. well, the frickin thing covers about 3/4 of the hole in the front air dam. Does this cause issues w/ cooling, or does the radiator get enough cooling from under the air dam?

1. Yes, its still worth it...

2. I placed my license plate higher as not to cover the front. im not sure if it cools more but i say the IC will benefit more as the license plate is covering that hole.

if you want extra cooling for the radiator then upgrade it!

other things you can do is the fan mod, miata thermoswitch, and open your hood before you reach your destination... that should lower down the temp... good luck
