Jacobs Race Ignition Amp. for street/stip driving?

Is this a good idea? I drive my car on the street and I go to the drag strip often, Im curious if this is a good idea to have installed for my setup.
Thanks in advance

I'd say if you are going to get over 350/400 RWHP then go for it. I've always liked the HKS, but I am starting to lean toward the Jacobs. Ignition seems to be a bigger deal after IC upgrade.

I'm not sure if the race ignition amp is any different than the Jacobs' Pro Pack, or if the race ignition comes with upgraded coils or not, but I will warn you... Don't use it on the stock leading coils. The thing is way to powerful and produces too much heat. I fried two ignition coils before I learned my lesson. The stock FC leading coil is pretty bullet proof, and I would use one of those if you want an all in one ignition coil. Jabobs also sells single coils but you will need to splice them together to work with the rotary.
