Before you check all of the complicated things listed above, did you check you air bleed screw? It takes two minutes, and if it's too loose it can cause the symptoms that your describing...

And also the TPS as in the link I provided. You should check the easy things first before tearing apart the car to replace a gasket that may indeed be just fine.

For sure check all else first! I spent the better part of three months checking things in my spare time before I broke down and had the LIM gasket replaced.

havent got a guage yet to check the boost pattern. X mas is comin up and the gf comes first for once. ha.

air bleed screw??? where in the hell is that. i found my TPS but havent messed with it yet.

well shoot, i got good news, the idle is steady now after adjusting the idle bleed screw. but it still idles high (1100) or so. i hope to get a boost guage soon to check my boost levels. the car appears to b great mechanically.
