its impossible

I got an fc last summer about the second day i got it i actually redlined it (heavin forbid) and was freaked at how fast it was then only found out when i went to the track that it ran an 15.9 and i looked over and there was an fd the guy was a shity driver and still ran a 13. ive been addicted to rotary's of all sorts since then and it is impossible to find a cheap one. i would take a wrecked one i just cant find a cheap one. i guess there not cheap cars now are they.

oh and i red line everyday
actually about four times a day

I worked damn hard for my car, 70hours a week, dont automatically assume we are "rich bitches" and we dont deserve our cars. I worked really hard for my FD, hell I can barely afford to keep it on the road, but I will never get rid of it! I dont do my own work on my car because I'm too terrified I will mess it up, so I take it to an awesome rotary shop. And I'm pretty sure anyone who is on this board knows what a "twin turbo" is. They arent too expensive, just work your *** off to get one >< thats what most of us did!

Well I'm pretty sure you dont, seeing as how basic grammar and spelling is obviously beyond you.

I bloody well worked my *** of for this car and I do all the mods and tuning. I am the one responsible for the loan, insurance and mods. Even if somone is blessed enough to have the disposible income to afford a FD then they deserve it just as much as you do. You have to understand; son, just because you believe you are the best for something or somone else doesn't appricate what they have doesn't mean you should open your mouth and talk bad about others. Before you call yourself a self proclaimed rotary guru do some more research, read some books, lord even start rebuilding your S4. How about this once you can give me the basic outline of how an FDs fuel/ignition/emissions systems work, then you can start to earn my respect and the respect of others in this forum. All you are to me is another punk kid who doesn't respect "his" RX-7. I pray that all FDs will stay out of your price range so you can't drive around and give us a bad name.

Rotaryroket87, you sure convinced me. You ARE more deserving. You can have my 94 FD.

First of all, your stupid. You must be 16-19 years old, and a "ricer" wanna be. As Tenacious put it, I work 7 days a week, and I put in 60+ hours of work every week. I have put all funds not necessary for living (rent, food, etc...) towards my FD. If you want some advice, live at home for as long as you can, loose the girlfriend, and just grab a 6 pack instead of going to the bars. If you have the car, then do all the work yourself and you'll save even more money.

Oh, I forgot one thing. Since you cry and bitch like a little girl, you don't "deserve" an FD.

my fd was not cheap. had to sell off one of the kids and trade a kidney to get my car. i'd do it agian in a heartbeat. and as far as money is concerned. most of us aren't rich. the people who are rich and have fd's usually leave them parked cept for one day out of the year and when you do see them driving the fd they have no clues as to what is going on with the engine. and all the mods that happen to the car are done at a rotary shop. i say if the rich want thier labor on cars done by mec hanics then so be it. i mean a rich guy in a polo shirt working on a fd. just don't see it. i work on mine myself. parts alone are enough to mortgage the house. i don't even want to think about labor costs. anyway my opionion is that the majority of fd owners are average joe schmoes. that work all week just to have an extra 50 or hundred bucks that they can put toward the fd. know that is my situation.

im 19 worked the most hours i legally could since 2 weeks after i turned 14... $9k for the FD and 9K for the mods... no loans, no nothing. If u work hard, and dont stupidly spend your money (buy stuff thats used in good condition), deservingly live at home with your parents, and keep yourself in school.

Dont sit on your *** and bitch about how you dont have something, for its not going to get you it. Get off the computer and be useful with your time.

Just worked 43 hours this week.

I'm only 20, and I work my flippin' **** off for my FD, but I enjoy every minute that I'm behind that wheel, and I drive her responsibly.

I don't like the way this thread started either. What do you drive? An '87 GXL or something? What kind of 1/4 time did you expect?

You're an embarressment to the younger, more RESPONSIBLE FD owners out here. Keep your FC, and when you start workin' your 40+ hours a week for the right to own and maintain an FD, you let me know how much you still like them, then.

Tch.

Well I worked the night shift cleaning floors for 2.5 years, and finally I bought my FD at the age of 19. Here in Canada you don't buy a good FD for less then 20k.
It was tough but I now cherish my FD, and I realize what it takes to own an exotic sports car. Not to mention the other thousands spent in upgrades, and countless thousands still to go.

I have lots of respect for people with FD's WHY? Because I know all the efforts and thoughts and difficulties and many sleepless nights that they all went through researching and thinking about their FD, and not to mention the money.

So If you think you deserve an FD, then go buy one. It's that simple, oh wait you don't have the money.......Go to the bank and ask for a loan, but wait? If you don't have a good job the bank will tell you......"you poor little bitch" and will leave you stranded.

SO WHAT DO YOU DO?

Go get a second job or ask your boss for more hours..........And you know what?

Then you will understand how the Majority of us on this forum feel. We work hard for our money and the reward is a priceless FD!

Oliver(yes I'm 21)

Same opinion as everyone. I'm from Can too and my F D actually cost me exactly 20k. Let me tell you that I researched for 2 years before buying her and that all the people that I know know their Fd's inside and out.

I just lost my job before christmas with money left to go on paying her and without a job I sacrifice anything to keep her so work and you will get her eventually.

I am just turned 20 so trust me it's not easy. At least you have the luck to be living in the states where Fd prices are much much lower than here in Canada.

So stay in school and work same as me and you will have a nice 93' Touring with some crazy Fiske wheels wrapped in Pirelli's and dream of Re Amemiya parts!

Good Luck

Snicker. Laugh. Giggle. Snort.

Car is fine.

Ordered Pettit AST that night.

Learned my lesson.

STFU.

Gonna tell me you never did somethin' semi-stupid in your FD, ever? Like...WOT'd it when you shouldn't have...raced somebody you shouldn't have...cheaply fixed a "problem"...if you say "yes" then you sir...are a fkin' liar. :]
