Unhappy It's Hot in Herrrre

Ok, i replace the fuse for my a/c a couple days ago. Now the damn fuse keeps blowing everytime i start up the car. If i leave the car on and just switch the fuse and turn on the A/C, it wont blow. I was thinking about using a higher voltage fuse to compensate. Any ideas? It gets REALLY hot down here in Florida. Please help

Thanks,
ALI

the fuse you've replaced it the same voltage as the one you used to have? Maybe you could try to replace it with a higher voltage one but be carefull because the problem may not be the fuse and do some other damage.

I think by replacing the fuse with a factory amp with one that is bigger, you are masking whatever problem you may have. I say, look for the short, and fix that.

Yup.

Fuses are spec'ed to keep wiring harnesses from catching fire and/or melting.

Check the airpump, it may be shorting the fuse.

The AC compressor and Airpump share the same fuse!

just to add my $.02, I had a similiar problem with my parking lights right after I bought the car. It turns out that one of the wires going into the light on the pass side was frayed & would come in contact with the body & short out. If I had to guess, you have a similiar problem. I would suggest against replacing the fuse with a larger one, fuses have amp limits for a reason.
