IRP Brake Master Cylinder brace-review
Just recently installed one of IRP's Master Cylinder braces I bought thru Sakebomb and figured I'd post it up. Maybe I didn't search in the right sections but haven't seen a lot of talk about this outside of a GB a while back. Since it's not a flashy part with alot of bling, maybe it doesn't get much attention. The install is a little fiddly if you have fat fingers and a little arthritis, but not difficult. Took me about 45 minutes. Biggest issue was getting behind my coilovers to start the 10mm nut in the pass-thru hole already present on the shock tower. Quality materials with stainless hardware with a billet body. Instructions with pictures that really were kind of overkill, as once you loosely assemble it and locate the holes the rest is intuitive. Particularly nice is that it required no drilling, using existing (unused) threaded and non-threaded holes already present on the shock tower.
Still cold here in the Midwest and haven't taken the car out for a REAL test. But my initial reaction is that there's a noticeable improvement on brake pedal firmness. Maybe not as dramatic as when I added stainless lines some years ago, but it's there. And for the relative low cost and ease of installation I'd give this a
For those not already familiar, how it functions should be apparent in the photos. It simply braces the nose of the brake master cylinder, keeping it and the firewall from flexing under hard braking.

I have one as well and do like it. It's not as huge of a difference as you would think but it does give more firmness and feel to the pedal. The part is super well designed and engineered.
I recommend it, it does a great job.

I too have the same brace. I typically auto-x my FD and was concerned about firewall flex under hard braking. Been using it for roughly 1yr. It was installed before last year's DGRR and it was an added assurance to the car's firm braking pressure. If you are concerned about hard braking and firewall flex then I highly recommend using this brace. It gets an A+ in my book!

I believe the IRP brace is LHD only, but there are RHD versions out there from Japanese shops. I have also seen cheaper versions on Ebay that were for RHD cars.

The IRP braces work with a 929 MC, but the stop is a little offset. I tried a couple times to center it, but gave up. Don't think it affected performance any. Speaking of performance, not sure how much the MC deflects that these would be needed. I went ahead and installed it anyways.
