Question Intermittent Electrical Probs (ABS, Fan, Wipers...)

In the last couple of days, I've started up my car and had the ABS light stay on, and the wipers and fan / aircon inoperative. First thought was a fuse, but if I switch off the ignition, and restart, then all is fine again. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Kym

This never got answered but I figured I'd help out anyway since I encountered a similar problem the other day.

It's most likely related to the wiring behind your AC panel. There are a few plugs back there that can wiggle loose and cause what's happening. I'd suggest turning the car off, reseating all the connections then trying again. Be careful not to jar the wires loose again when you are re positioning the AC panel.

Wow, that was a long time ago, but thanks for your reply!

You're right, it was a connection problem. My immobiliser stopped working and when I disconnected it and put everything back together, this problem went away too!

These are exactly the issues i've had in the past. However, I've just had an engine rebuild and replaced the ignition barrel (Cos some kids tried nicking my car whilst the engine was out! Dur!) and now the issue is permanent. Although I do have wipers operational. I tried re-plugging in all the ignition electrics, but to no avail. Any pointers on where else I could look?
